Aiven

Aiven is a managed data platform provider legally registered as Aiven Oy, with its headquarters in Helsinki, Finland. It offers fully managed, open-source-based database and streaming services — including PostgreSQL, MySQL, Apache Kafka, OpenSearch, ClickHouse, and Valkey (a Redis fork) — deployable on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, and other infrastructure providers.

The platform emphasizes portability and open-source fidelity: customers can run the same managed service across multiple clouds and regions, and Aiven publishes much of its automation tooling as open source. It targets teams that want RDS/Atlas-style managed operations without hyperscaler lock-in.

While Aiven maintains additional registered entities in Germany, the UK, and the US to serve local customers, its parent and original legal headquarters remain in Helsinki, Finland.
