Koyeb Sandboxes provide isolated, ephemeral compute environments that developers spin up programmatically to run and test code — used for AI-agent code execution, prototyping, and CI/CD, directly comparable to Daytona-style sandboxes. Koyeb also offers native Git-based preview environments that deploy a live instance per pull request or branch.

Koyeb was founded in Paris in 2020 by former Scaleway engineers, and in 2026 was acquired by fellow French company Mistral AI to build out its AI cloud infrastructure — keeping the operation under EU ownership.
