Sketch is a vector-based interface design and prototyping tool for macOS with cloud collaboration features, originally released in 2010 by Bohemian Coding. The company was renamed Sketch B.V. in 2020, registered in the Netherlands with a listed office in Eindhoven.

The app combines a native macOS vector editor with a companion web app for viewing, commenting, and handing off designs to developers, plus reusable components/libraries and version history.

Sketch predates most of today’s browser-based design tools and remains one of the longer-running independent UI design apps, competing directly with Figma and Adobe.
